These soft rubber beads were originally designed for use with Flying Backleads, where they are positioned above the leader knot to prevent the backlead from sliding all the way down to the lead. Thanks to their clever design, however, they are widely applicable across various rigs. The beads feature a tapered bore, allowing them to slide easily over knots and leaders. This makes them ideal for use in helicopter and chod rigs, as well as perfectly suited for applications such as a shocker rig, where they act as a buffer between the lead and backstop. In addition, these beads provide extra protection by allowing knots to sit safely inside the bead, reducing wear and damage.
