Daiwa 22 Exist Spin reel

The Airdrive design opens the way to future mill technology from DAIWA, offering smooth operation and sensitivity you’ve never experienced before. Thanks to the reduced weight of the rotor, spool and bracket, softer rotation without starting resistance is made possible, ensuring optimum smooth operation. The 22’ Exist is the first reel within the DAIWA range to feature the latest Airdrive concept. The reduction in rotor weight reduces the effort required to start spinning and allows you to stop faster, allowing you to react more quickly to various retrieve situations. The wall thickness and unnecessary weight in the Airdrive spool has been reduced – combined with the reduced weight of the rotor and bracket, this improves the balance of the reel and allows for better lure control.
Unlike ordinary spinning reels, DAIWA has developed a Low-Contact structure between shaft and gear – the Airdrive shaft. Thanks to the implementation of this technology, friction is reduced and super-smooth and quiet operation is optimized. The Airdrive concept is a combination of these elements, which enables the construction of extremely lightweight and sensitive spinning mills.
