Abu Garcia recommends using the included screws for mounting on wood, metal, fibreglass or plastic. Use an appropriate dowel or wall anchor when attaching the rod rests to drywall or other walls. The distance between the supports depends on the rod length, but the recommended distance between the supports is about 100cm.
