Shimano Ultegra Spod XTD Carp reel

The Ultegra XTD SPOD is a new Big Pit Reel specially designed for spodding or marker floating on carp. The design is based on the successful Ultegra XTD 14000 and has similar functionalities. It goes without saying that it is specifically designed for spodding. The differences between the normal Ultegra XTD and the SPOD version are as follows: Shallow spool – less line capacity is required for spodding. Gear ratio: 5.2:1 instead of 4.3:1 for a higher retrieve speed. Finally, in order to improve the ease of spodding, the Ultegra SPOD has three line clips instead of one.
