Operating this fishfinder is very easy. You have instant access to pre-loaded views from the simple menu system, which you control with the soft-key buttons.
CHIRP stands for “Compressed High Intensity Radar Pulse.” By covering a wide range of frequencies, CHIRP produces more accurate, detailed results of fish, structure and bottom.
The Dual Spectrum CHIRP 2D sonar system gives you two ways to search through the Low-Q CHIRP transducer; Wide Mode for maximum coverage and Narrow Mode to focus on the smallest detail.
CHIRP Down Imaging: DI filters out noise and clutter for a super-clear image under the boat. CHIRP Digital Sonar processing from Down Imaging Sonar means you see lots of details to easily spot fish and you can observe structures under the boat with great accuracy.
CHIRP Side Imaging: SI filters out noise and clutter for a super-clear image on both sides of the boat. CHIRP Digital Sonar processing Side Imaging sonar means you can see fish and structures to the left and right of the boat.
The HELIX 7 CHIRP SI GPS G4 is equipped with an internal GPS and Humminbird base chart. This gives you an immediate view of the underwater terrain by default and allows you to fish and navigate with confidence. The system is compatible with Humminbird’s LakeMaster® and CoastMaster™ products, as well as Navionics® charts.
