The Strongbow is a very popular model that has been perfected. The handle is slightly curved, but not too much. This prevents tearing of the carp’s mouth during the fight. The combination of a very long, razor-sharp, straight point (with micro barb) and slightly bent, not too long, hook shank make this hook extremely aggressive piercing. The thread of the hook is extra thick to prevent bending of the hook even in the most extreme conditions. An extension of the hook shank by means of an aligner or kicker is actually not necessary, but can be applied.
